Steps for Deep Cleaning

1.Initial Dust Removal (to Avoid Scratches) First, use a soft-bristled broom to gently sweep away dust, sand, and debris from the vinyl floor surface (pay special attention to corners and under furniture) to prevent particles from scratching the floor during subsequent cleaning. If there is any hair, use the soft brush head of the vacuum cleaner to absorb it, avoiding direct pulling.

2.Tackling Stubborn Stains (Targeted Cleaning) – Oil stains / food residues: First, wipe off the surface oil with a dry cloth. Then, dampen a cloth with diluted neutral detergent (e.g., 1-2 spoons of dish soap in 1 liter of warm water), gently press on the stained area (avoid vigorous rubbing to prevent the oil from spreading), let it sit for 1-2 minutes, and then wipe clean with a cloth dampened with clean water. – Ink / beverage stains: Promptly wipe with a damp cloth dipped in a small amount of neutral detergent. If the stain has dried, first gently scrub with a soft brush dipped in detergent, then wipe clean with water. – Scratch marks: For minor scratches, use a slightly damp cloth dipped in a small amount of specialized vinylfloor care agent (or diluted olive oil) and gently wipe along the wood grain direction to reduce the visibility of the marks.

3.Overall Deep Cleaning Prepare a neutral cleaning solution in proportion (e.g., a 1:100 mixture of detergent and warm water), stir well, then soak a microfiber mop in it and wring it out until it is semi-dry (should not drip water). Mop the floor along the direction of the imitation wood grain

(avoid horizontal or circular mopping to reduce wear on the grain), focusing on areas with concentrated stains. After the first mopping, rinse the mop with clean water, wring it out, and mop again to completely remove residual detergent (to prevent the floor from becoming slippery or losing its luster due to leftover detergent).

4.Drying and Maintenance Immediately after cleaning, use a dry cloth or absorbent mop to wipe off moisture from the floor surface, paying special attention to standing water in corners and near floor drains (prolonged exposure to water can cause the edges of plastic floors to warp). Once the floor is completely dry (after about 1-2 hours), apply an appropriate amount of specialized plastic floor wax (or care essential oil). Use a dry cloth to wipe evenly along the wood grain direction to form a protective film, which enhances wear resistance and gloss (once or twice a month is sufficient; avoid frequent waxing to prevent greasy buildup).

Taboos and Notes
  • Avoid high temperatures and sharp objects: Do not rinse directly with hot water, and keep high-temperature items such as cigarette butts and hot pans away to prevent the floor from warping or melting. When moving furniture, place a soft cloth under it to avoid scratches from sharp edges.
  •  Control cleaning frequency: Deep cleaning is recommended once or twice a month. For daily cleaning, dry mopping or slightly damp mopping is sufficient; excessive cleaning may accelerate floor aging.
  • Handling special stains: If strong corrosive substances such as nail polish or paint are accidentally spilled, immediately wipe them off with a dry cloth, then clean with a neutral detergent. Do not use solvents like banana oil or alcohol, as they may dissolve the plastic surface layer.
