The super wear resistance of PVC plastic flooring is one of its core advantages, especially suitable for high-traffic and high-friction usage scenarios.
  • Material: The surface of high-quality PVC flooring is usually covered with a PVC wear-resistant layer (containing aluminum oxide, ceramic particles or polyurethane coating), which enhances the anti-scratch ability through physical structure.
  • Calendering process: The wear-resistant layer and base material are pressed together at high temperature, resulting in a tighter molecular structure and better wear resistance than ordinary coatings;
  • Coating technology: Some high-end products use UV-cured coatings (such as polyurethane UV paint), forming a nanometer-level hardened film, increasing the wear resistance coefficient by 30% to 50%.

Wear resistance performance in actual application scenarios

High-traffic public places

  • – Shopping malls / supermarkets: Under the long-term pressure of shopping carts and foot traffic, high-quality PVC flooring can remain undamaged for 5 to 10 years, while laminate flooring may need to be replaced every 2 to 3 years;
  • Hospital corridors: Frequent movement of hospital beds and medical equipment, the wear-resistant layer of PVC flooring can resist the friction of metal wheels and is easy to clean and disinfect.

Home scenarios

  • Living room / children’s room: Better resistance to toy cars and pet scratches than wooden flooring, especially suitable for families with children or pets;
  • Kitchen / bathroom: Dual advantages of water resistance and wear resistance, avoiding the erosion of oil and water on the floor (wooden flooring is prone to swelling and deformation when exposed to water).

Industrial / special scenarios

  • Factory workshops: For areas where forklifts and heavy equipment operate, industrial-grade PVC flooring (wear-resistant layer ≥ 0.7mm) can be selected, and some products can withstand a pressure of 20 tons /㎡;
  •  Gyms: Under the friction of running machines, dumbbells and other equipment, PVC flooring is easier to clean than rubber mats, and the wear-resistant layer is less likely to age due to sweat corrosion.
